El Salvador Unveils New Social Development Model.

Today, the Directorate of Integration of El Salvador introduced the new Social Development Model: A History and a Future of Struggle for National Integration. The launch event was held at the auditorium on the first floor of BINAES.

This model, which is part of Phase VI of the Territorial Control Plan, was presented to government officials of President Nayib Bukele, business leaders, university rectors, and strategic partners.

Alejandro Gutman, the honorary president of the Directorate of Integration, participated in a forum with journalist Roberto Valencia, where they discussed Gutman’s challenges and experiences in the ongoing effort to integrate Salvadorans.

The Vice President of El Salvador also spoke about the event, stating: «Today, I participated in the presentation of the ‘New Social Development Model: A History and a Future of Struggle for National Integration.’ This initiative, led by the President of the Directorate of Integration, Alejandro Gutman, strengthens Phase VI of the Territorial Control Plan, called ‘Integration.’ It promotes unity among Salvadorans and advances a new national model, addressing the historical debt left by previous governments that did not prioritize this social component.»

During the event, the plan, structured around eight projects, was detailed. It enables people from different communities to gather in a single location under an environment of true peace and freedom. It also provides legal and health services to vulnerable populations, offers scholarships, professional training, and employment opportunities, and creates recreational spaces for communities through sports, arts, and other areas.

Finally, the commitment of President Nayib Bukele to promoting integration was reaffirmed, ensuring that all sectors of society can progress towards social, cultural, educational, economic, and intellectual development.
