The Attorney General’s Office of El Salvador (FGR) has ordered the arrest of José Adrián Solórzano Gutiérrez, who is under investigation for alleged active bribery linked to an ongoing judicial proceeding.
According to investigators, Solórzano Gutiérrez, who previously served as an auxiliary prosecutor, allegedly offered a benefit to an individual in exchange for confidential information concerning a judicial case and assistance in obtaining a favorable outcome.
The investigation began after the alleged victim filed a complaint, prompting authorities to initiate proceedings that ultimately led to the suspect’s arrest. As part of the operation, officials inspected his workplace and seized a mobile phone, computer, and a cardholder containing promotional materials for legal services.
Authorities also carried out searches at a residence in Santo Tomás and at an office in the San Benito area, where the suspect rented professional space.
The El Salvador Attorney General’s Office continues gathering evidence to establish the full circumstances of the case and determine whether the suspect may have been involved in other incidents of a similar nature.
The investigation underscores ongoing efforts by Salvadoran authorities to address alleged corruption and protect the integrity of judicial proceedings.
