El Salvador will host an unprecedented national event on November 30, when 30,000 young people will gather at the Mágico González Stadium to receive full university scholarships from the Directorate of Integration.
The scholarships will be granted to students who successfully completed the Formative Process program, a comprehensive educational and social initiative designed to promote values, discipline, and community engagement among youth.
Alejandro Gutman, honorary president of the Directorate of Integration, emphasized the historic importance of the event, stating, “There will be a before and after November 30. That Sunday, an unprecedented event will take place. It will mark the beginning of a great transformation for the country.”
To qualify, students were required to maintain a minimum GPA of 7.0, attend remedial courses, complete community service with the Directorate, and participate in institutional activities such as the DNA of Poverty and the Culture of Integration masterclass.
President Nayib Bukele recently reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to universal access to higher education, noting that every student in El Salvador has the right to a full university scholarship. “You don’t have to be a super genius to get a scholarship,” he said. “You just have to be a good citizen, a decent person toward your teachers, your community, and your country.”
The Directorate of Integration will release further details about the event in the coming days, which is expected to draw national and regional attention as a milestone in educational transformation and youth empowerment in El Salvador.
