El Salvador’s humanitarian mission in Jamaica continues to deliver critical relief to families affected by Hurricane Melissa, reinforcing the nation’s steadfast commitment to solidarity under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele. Salvadoran teams remain actively deployed across the island, working tirelessly to provide assistance and restore stability in the hardest-hit communities.
Early this morning, the mission prepared a new shipment of aid consisting of food, bottled water, medical supplies, and water purification kits—essential items to help prevent disease outbreaks following weeks of severe flooding. Operations were coordinated from a base in the parish of Westmoreland, where teams organized the distribution routes to ensure that the aid reaches even the most remote communities.
Each package sent from El Salvador represents more than material support—it carries a message of hope and unity between two nations. “This humanitarian mission is a reflection of the Salvadoran people’s solidarity and our government’s commitment to stand by our neighbors in times of need,” said one member of the coordination team on site.
Logistics personnel began their work at dawn, dispatching trucks loaded with supplies toward several points in Westmoreland and neighboring parishes. Thanks to careful coordination between Salvadoran institutions and Jamaican local authorities, the delivery process has remained efficient and well-organized, ensuring that aid reaches families in good condition and on time.
Meanwhile, operations continue in other bases established by the Salvadoran contingent. In Darliston, another team received a new shipment of food packages to be distributed in heavily impacted areas. From every operational point, Salvadoran crews are ensuring that relief arrives swiftly and effectively.
Through these ongoing efforts, the Government of President Bukele reaffirms El Salvador’s active presence and leadership in humanitarian response—demonstrating, once again, that solidarity knows no borders.
