El Salvador Highlights Culture and Tourism at Canberra’s “Windows to the World” Fair

El Salvador promoted its rich culture and tourism offerings at the Canberra International Fair, participating in the pre-fair event “Windows to the World” as part of the renowned Floriade festival, which celebrates the arrival of spring in Australia.

Held on October 11 at Commonwealth Park, the Salvadoran stand welcomed visitors under the slogan “Welcome to El Salvador”, offering a tasting of Cihuatán Rum, traditional El Salvador coffee, and tourism promotions highlighting Surf City. Attendees also explored an exhibition of crafts and cultural traditions, including flowers and corncob dolls, reflecting the country’s vibrant heritage.

The fair allowed visitors to experience El Salvador as the land of volcanoes, waves, coffee, and rum, while engaging with its artistic and culinary traditions. The event provided a unique opportunity to learn about multiple countries’ cultures, foods, and traditional attire in one location.

The main “Windows to the World” event will take place on October 18 and 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., opening the doors of various embassies and high commissions in Canberra. Visitors will enjoy guided tours, cultural performances, traditional cuisine, and interactive exhibits, experiencing global traditions without leaving the Australian capital.
