The Salvadoran ambassador to Singapore, who also serves as the concurrent representative for Thailand and Indonesia, announced new efforts to bring El Salvador closer to Asian markets. In a post on X, the diplomat shared that a meeting was held with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), an influential organization that brings together more than 32,000 companies across various industries in the city-state.
We will coordinate investment promotion events and drive exports to Singapore and Asia. This is a key step to bring our country closer to the Asian market, the ambassador stated. The meeting represents a significant opportunity for El Salvador to diversify its international partnerships, attract investors, and create new trade channels.
By aligning with one of Asia’s most dynamic economies, El Salvador aims to position itself as a competitive and reliable partner in global commerce. The strategy reflects the government’s broader vision of strengthening economic diplomacy and ensuring Salvadoran products and services reach new international destinations.
