Portugal Event Opens Doors for Salvadoran Rum in European Markets.

Members of the Diplomatic Corps in Portugal, private sector representatives, and media professionals recently experienced the quality of Salvadoran rum during a cultural event hosted by the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL).

The gathering, designed to strengthen ties between IPDAL and countries across the region and the world, featured a tasting session organized by the Embassy of El Salvador in Portugal. The embassy promoted Salvadoran rum as part of its ongoing efforts to boost international recognition of the country’s liquor industry and support the diversification of its exports.

Pure samples, blends, and cocktails made with Salvadoran rum received enthusiastic praise from the attendees, many of whom expressed strong interest in the product.

“The event was a valuable opportunity to showcase our export offerings, especially to entrepreneurs and potential clients, which could lead to future trade negotiations. We also aim to promote the image of Salvadoran rum and help establish the country’s reputation as a producer of excellent beverages,” said Rhina Bardi, El Salvador’s Ambassador to Portugal.
