El Salvador’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Hill Tinoco, took part in the first ministerial-level EU–Central America Association Council, highlighting the country’s commitment to international cooperation.
“Honoured to have participated in the first ministerial-level EU–Central America Association Council, a milestone in advancing our bi-regional partnership,” said Hill Tinoco. “Strengthening political dialogue, deepening cooperation, and boosting trade and investment are essential pillars.”
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, who chaired the meeting, noted, “Today, we opened a new chapter in EU–Central America relations. We addressed pressing geopolitical issues, promoted cooperation and agreed to expand investment and trade.”
Hill Tinoco also met with Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel to discuss strengthening bilateral relations. Bettel highlighted their focus on development cooperation, to which Hill responded, “I appreciated our productive dialogue… Looking forward to continued collaboration.”
She added, “It was a pleasure to exchange views with @kajakallas on the global challenges we face and the shared opportunities we must seize together.”
