In 2024, Chivo Pets Veterinary Hospital marked a significant achievement by providing more than a million services to Salvadorans, underscoring its vital role in offering accessible, high-quality care for pets. The institution, which offers a wide range of veterinary services, has become a cornerstone of support for pet owners across the country.
Melvyn Rogel, the director of the Veterinary Hospital, highlighted the growth and success of the hospital, noting that the demand for its services continues to increase year after year. «Last year alone, the hospital provided more than a million services, and every year we have grown in care,» said Rogel during an interview with Diana Verónica and Tony.
One of the most in-demand services at the hospital is the outpatient clinic, which is open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. To streamline access, appointments for the outpatient clinic can be scheduled through the hospital’s website (https://chivopets.sv) or by calling the service number, 195. Rogel reported that the hospital provides 360 appointments per day to meet the needs of Salvadoran pet owners.
Chivo Pets has been operational since February 26, 2021, and this year will mark its third anniversary. Over the past three years, the hospital has transformed the landscape of veterinary care in El Salvador, offering first-class medical attention to pets at an affordable, symbolic cost. This initiative, led by President Nayib Bukele, has allowed thousands of pets to receive top-tier treatment without the barrier of high costs.
«This project by President Nayib Bukele has been a great success,» Rogel said. «It has been very successful in offering the population a quality veterinary service at a symbolic cost.»
Chivo Pets’ commitment to providing accessible care for Salvadorans and their pets has made it a trusted resource in the country, ensuring that veterinary needs are met with compassion and professionalism. The hospital’s continuing success speaks to the growing recognition of the importance of responsible pet care, and its role in the well-being of both pets and their families.
