Swedish fashion giant H&M continues its expansion in Latin America with the upcoming launch of its first store in El Salvador. The multinational company announced in a statement that the new store will open in the second half of 2025 through its franchise partner, Hola Moda.
This move is part of H&M’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the region. The company also plans to enter the Brazilian market later in 2025 with its first store and e-commerce platform.
Currently, H&M operates in several Latin American countries, including Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, and Costa Rica.
As part of its global expansion strategy, H&M aims to open approximately 80 new stores worldwide in 2025, focusing primarily on emerging markets. At the same time, the company plans to close around 190 stores, mainly in established markets, as it adjusts to shifting consumer trends.
