Government Announces Scholarships for Salvadorans to Study Abroad.

The Salvadoran government has launched an exciting initiative aimed at providing scholarships for Salvadorans seeking to study abroad. Interested individuals can explore a range of educational opportunities—including short courses, technical programs, undergraduate degrees, graduate courses, master’s degrees, and doctorates—by visiting the Salvadoran Agency for International Cooperation (ESCO) website.

The scholarship portal features an easy-to-navigate icon that displays a variety of programs, including details on the host countries, application deadlines, and course completion dates. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the application period is open now and will continue until December, coinciding with various opportunities at universities across countries such as South Korea, China, Russia, Japan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United States, and Chile, as well as in Turkey, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Romania, Indonesia, India, Serbia, Georgia, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Puerto Rico, Ireland, Costa Rica, Australia, Qatar, and more.

Karla de Palma, director of ESCO, emphasized the importance of these scholarships as a form of international cooperation that enriches Salvadoran education. «Every opportunity to study abroad is an investment in the future of El Salvador. Thanks to these training programs managed with our partners, more Salvadorans now have the chance to develop in key areas essential for the country’s growth and well-being,» she stated.

De Palma encouraged all eligible Salvadorans to take advantage of this initiative, highlighting the potential for personal and professional growth, as well as the opportunity to learn new languages and skills that can be applied back home. «We invite interested individuals to visit the ESCO scholarship portal and seize these opportunities to contribute to the development of our country,» she added.
