Government Positions Salvadoran Aviation Sector in Santiago, Chile.

The Salvadoran aviation sector has once again attracted international attention thanks to the infrastructure projects being developed by the government of President Nayib Bukele, which were highlighted at the recent LATAM Airport Summit held in Santiago, Chile.

The LATAM Airport Summit served as a platform for international companies to come together, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities in the airport industry in the region. During the summit, Federico Anliker, the President of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA), represented El Salvador.

Anliker addressed high-level executives from the public and private sectors of Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and the Dominican Republic, showcasing the new projects and growth opportunities in El Salvador’s aviation sector.

In his presentation, Anliker emphasized the construction of the Pacific Airport in the eastern part of the country as a project that will bring economic development. He also highlighted the commercial opportunities offered by the International Airport of El Salvador and the plans for the renovation of the International Airport of Ilopango.

«El Salvador is now a safe and attractive destination for foreign investment,» stated Anliker confidently.

Additionally, CEPA announced that this high-level event provided an ideal platform to gather firsthand information on airport infrastructure, regulations, investment policies, priority projects, procurement opportunities, potential project partnerships, financing, and investment prospects.

The Salvadoran government’s commitment to enhancing the aviation sector’s infrastructure and attracting foreign investment has positioned the country as a key player in the region. With ongoing projects and a favorable investment climate, El Salvador aims to become a prominent hub for air travel and boost economic growth in the process.

The LATAM Airport Summit served as a significant milestone in showcasing the potential of El Salvador’s aviation industry and opening doors for collaboration and investment. As the government continues to prioritize the development of the sector, further advancements are expected to transform the Salvadoran aviation landscape and contribute to the nation’s overall progress.
